iii.
The threads that don't fit on an album or in a stream — but show up in both anyway.
Civic
Cory's first public-facing political work ran under Cory For America in 2020 — statements, commentary, and the kind of honest, accountable writing the internet was still capable of then. The threads continue today: creator dignity, accessible healthcare (lived experience), platform accountability, and showing up for the people the algorithm shrugs at.
Philanthropic
Quiet things, mostly. Mental health and harm-reduction support woven into the music, into who gets first dibs on tickets, into how the community he gathers gets treated when no one's looking. If you have a platform, you owe its weight to the people who don't.
The long way around
Before the songs, radio. Before the platform, two books — @corylegendre: 2013 and @corylegendre #2014 — Twitter as a literary form, before the platform stopped being worth archiving from. A decade of being heard before he had anything specific to say. The work is the same; the medium keeps changing.
